Obituary of Elizabeth "Liz" Mahoney

Elizabeth "Liz" Mahoney, 52, of the Town of Cambria, NY, died on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Born in Buffalo, NY on January 6, 1963 to Sam and Tina (Castellan) Vizzini. Liz was a graduate from Cardinal O'Hara High School in 1981. On October 15, 1982, she married the love of her life, Rob Mahoney, and they have resided in the Town of Cambria for the last 24 years. Liz worked for ADP as a Payroll Specialist in Williamsville for 15 years. Her biggest passion was spending time with her devoted husband, her children and grandchildren, and she loved TXTing. In addition to her husband, Rob; and her parents; Liz is survived by her two children, Danielle (John) Szymendera of Tonawanda and Jake Mahoney of Newfane; her grandchildren, Ryley and Sam Mahoney and Henry and Marleigh Szymendera; her siblings, Angelo (Dolores) Vizzine, Patti, Mary and Sharon Vizzini; as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the funeral home. Burial will follow at North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
