Obituary of Margaret L. Reimer

Margaret L. Reimer, age 68 of Youngstown died Friday June 5, 2015 at her residence while under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Margaret was born July 17, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Oliver and Margaret (Curtiss) Rudy. She married David A. Reimer on September 1, 1962 and they have resided in Youngstown the past 50 years. Margaret was an Assembly Line Worker, employed by GM Harrison Radiator/Delphi in Lockport for 25 ½ years, retiring in 2001. She loved baking, crocheting, needlepoint, and her pet cats. She especially loved new adventures and camping in their motor home. Margaret's greatest love was spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, David A. Reimer; her children Denise (Michael) Florio of Lockport, David (Cherilyn) Reimer, Jr. of Youngstown, and Day (Robert) Scrivani of Machias, NY; her grandchildren, Amy, Laura, Derek, Chris, Kevin, Doug, Dave, Ashley, Ryan, Nathan, and Jason; eight great grandchildren; her sisters, Anna (Jim) Beaton of Niagara Falls, NY, Helen (Howard) Mt. Pleasant, of Lewiston, and Rose (Robert) Thaler of Youngstown; a step brother, Albert (Sue) Ball of Niagara Falls, NY; her mother in law, Maude Reimer of Olcott; a sister in law, Nancy Rudy of Youngstown. She was predeceased by a son, Douglas Reimer in 1989, and a brother, Oliver Rudy, Jr. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Thursday from 4 - 8 pm and Friday, June 12, from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
