John W. Brasser, age 66 of Lewiston, died Thursday May 28, 2015 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a brief illness. John was born July 21, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late J. Boyd and Blanche (Weber) Brasser. He was a 1966 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from St. John Fisher College in 1971. In 1973 John went to work for the New York Power Authority as an accountant. He retired in 2007 as the Plan Maintenance Coordinator at the Gilboa Plant in Schoharie County. John was a member of Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. # 1 from 1973 to 1979 and has been an Exempt Member since 2007. He is survived by a brother, James (Jayne) Brasser of Lewiston; two nieces, Jaime Bantten, and Jenny (Samuel) Noah, and a great niece, Caitlyn Bantten. John will be laid to rest with his parents at private services in Dickersonville Cemetery, Lewiston. There are no calling hours.
