Obituary of Norma P. Seabert

Norma P. Seabert, 80, of Town of Cambria, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in the Town of Cambria on January 24, 1935 to the late George and Pearl (Bluhm) and has been a lifelong resident.
She graduated from Wilson High School in 1952 and then from the Millard Fillmore School for X-Ray Technician where Norma had a 40-year career; first at Millard Fillmore Hospital, then at Lockport Memorial Hospital and retired as Chief of X-Ray from Newfane Intercommunity Hospital where she worked for 32 years, retiring in 1992. On October 1, 1955, she was married to her beloved husband, Norman Seabert. Norma was a faithful member of St. Peters Lutheran Church at North Ridge, where she was the Sunday School Superintendent and the Choir Director for many years. After her retirement, Norma could always be found on her son's farm or at the North Tonawanda Market. She loved spending time with family, and enjoyed lending a helping hand to friends and Church. She was well-known for her crystal pickles, jams, and sweet potato pie.
In addition to her loving husband, Norman, she is survived by a daughter, Debra Heinz (Sam Saltal) of Kenmore; and son, Kenneth (Debra) Seabert of the Town of Cambria; four grandchildren, Justin (Susan) Israel, Jaren (Joanne) Israel, Kyle (Jen) Seabert, Kari (Eric) Felker; three great-grandchildren, Kelsie, Isabella, and Nicholas; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Norma was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marion Schendel.
Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Tuesday from 3-8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (May 13th) at 11:00 AM from St. Peters Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Rd., Town of Cambria, with Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow at North Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, or the American Diabetes Assc., 315 Alberta Dr., Amherst, NY 14226.
