Obituary of Joyce E. Penders

Joyce E. Penders, "Ellie" age 80 of Youngstown, died Saturday April 25, 2015 in the South Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Joyce was born November 12, 1934 in Bellefonte, PA, the daughter of the late Terrill and Dorothy (Saylor) Lucas. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Steve) Grogan, Maureen Certo, and Bridget Miller; her step children, Cathy Williams, Carol Butera, and Carl Louis (Anna) Penders; her grandchildren, Ryan and Patrick Grogan, Joseph and Emily Certo, Jamie (Tom) Downey, Marc (Sasha) Williams, Aaron Williams, Kevin, Chris and Craig Marshall, Carl Robert, Samantha and Alex Penders; her great grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Downey, Benjamin and Ilya Williams; her sisters, Nancy (Harold) Shippy, Judy Zimmerman and companion Tom Monsell, Susan Lucas and Becky Majka; her brother, Dick (Nadine) Lucas; her nieces, Jill (Jack) Deagan, Mollie and Lisa Lucas, and "Toni"; her nephews, Jarrod Majka, David and Terry Zimmerman, Peter (Charlotte) Shippy, Tim Shippy and Carl (Debbie) Capoluppo; and all her nieces and nephews in the Fink and McNally Families. Joyce also leaves behind many, many friends, especially Rhonda, Cathy, Delores, and Renee` and all of her neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her wonderful son Billy, her loving husband, Carl, her outstanding brother Pete, her kind sister in law, Genevieve Capoluppo, and her father and mother in law, Louis and Florence Penders. "I was here, but now I'm gone somewhere in the great beyond. To my family I just want to say, keep living your lives your magical way." Services and Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
