Obituary of Patricia G. Cantara

Patricia G. Cantara, age 71 of Lewiston, died Wednesday December 30, 2009 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Residence in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Patricia was born April 28, 1938 in Indiana, PA, the daughter of the late William and Erma (Russell) Moore. A 1956 graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Patricia married Donald Cantara on September 29, 1956 and they moved to Lewiston in 1962. Sadly, Donald predeceased her earlier this month on December 6. She was a Payroll Clerk, employed by Niagara University from 1985 to her retirement in 1996. During the 1950's Patricia had worked at the former Marine Midland Bank. She loved gardening. She is survived by two sons, Mark Cantara of Lewiston and Paul Cantara of Miami Shores, FL; two brothers, William R. (Lily) Moore of Niagara Falls and H. Thomas (June) Moore of Conway, SC; as well as eight nieces. Graveside services for Patricia and Donald will be held Saturday, January 16, at 11:00 am in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston.
