David W. Phillips, age 74, lifelong resident of Ransomville, died Friday March 20, 2015 at his home after a lengthy illness. David was born August 2, 1940 in Ransomville, the son of the late David and Marion (Strablow) Phillips. He was a 1959 graduate of Wilson High School and was employed in the Maintenance Dept. of Harrison Radiator in Lockport, from where he retired in 1989. David also was a truck driver for Mawhiney Trucking for 10 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #617 in Lockport, the Wilson Conservation Club, and a member of the United Auto Workers Union. David was predeceased by his loving wife, Joan (Carnrike) Phillips on May 4, 1994. He is survived by a son, Michael (Peggy) Phillips of Youngstown; three grandsons, Shane M. (Katie) Phillips of Ransomville, Justin D. Phillips of Youngstown, and Keith D. Phillips of Newfane; and a great granddaughter, Rowin Phillips. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel D. Phillips in 1979. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Monday, March 23, from 5 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
