Renton Bond, age 84 of Youngstown died Saturday March 14, 2015 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. Renton was born March 31, 1930 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of the late Benjamin H. and Hazel (Hoffman) Bond. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Middlebury College in Vermont and began a long career in Marketing and Advertising. Renton retired from Devilbiss Heath Care in Somerset, PA in 2002 after 15 years of service. He married Roberta "Robbie" Rey on November 1, 1952 and they have resided in Youngstown for the past 6 years, moving here from Somerset, PA. Renton was a voracious reader and an avid gardener. He enjoyed vacationing and beach combing at Silver Lake in Canada and dearly loved his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Robbie, he is survived by his six children, Marsha Melsheimer and Douglas (Sarah) Bond both of Chicago, IL, Jeffrey (Donna) Bond of Greeley, PA, Robin (Greg) Coe of Charlotteville, VA, Peter (Jean) Bond of Lords Valley, PA, and Julie (Bill) Genovese of Dover, NJ; and his 26 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Benjamin H., II and Charles Bond. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 21, at 3:00 PM in HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. There will be no prior visitation.
