Judy Porroni

Judy M. Porroni, age 71 of Lockport, died Monday March 2, 2015 at her home under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Judy was born October 4, 1943 in Point Pleasant, WV, the daughter of the late Melvin and Lorena (Clark) Piatt. She was a 1961 graduate of Niagara Falls High School and married Richard T. Porroni on September 16 of that year. They moved to Lockport from Niagara Falls in 1978. Judy was employed as an Assembly Line Worker by Harrison -Delphi Thermal Systems in Lockport for 26 years, retiring in 2002. She and Richard were members of the former St. Joseph RC Church in Lockport. Judy loved gardening, bingo and casino gaming. Most of all she adored her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Richard; a daughter, Palma Jordan of Lockport; her grandsons, Nathan (Sara) Jordan of Newfane and Justin Jordan (Jill Rose) of Barker; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Trenton, and Emerson Jordan; two sisters, Charlene McDonald and Sylvia (late Thomas) Francis both of Niagara Falls, NY; a brother, Melvin (LaVonne) Piatt, Jr. of Columbus, OH; and a brother in law, Ronald Anderson of Youngstown. She was predeceased by a sister, Marketta "Kete" Anderson. Richard and his family would also like to gratefully acknowledge and thank Mary Beaver, Judy's caregiver, who provided such loving and wonderful care to her throughout her illness. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, NY.
