Gabriele Bacola, age 69 of Youngstown, died Thursday January 29, 2015 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness.
Gabriele was born July 22, 1945 in Kiel, Germany, the daughter of the late Henry and Frieda (Poech) Behrent. The family immigrated to Canada and eventually settled in Youngstown. Gabriele was a 1965 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and had attended Niagara County Community College. She married Peter J. Bacola on July 2, 1966.
Gabriele was a member of the Youngstown Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed crafting and cross stitching.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; her children, Christopher (Kimberly) Bacola of Cornelius, NC, Matthew (Christine) Bacola of Houston, PA, and Jessica Bacola of Harrisonburg, VA; her grandchildren, Ethan, Aaron, Lily, and Grant; two brothers, Michael (Stephanie) Behrent of Grassy Key, FL and Peter (Gwen) Behrent of ; and four nieces and one nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Youngstown Baptist Church on a date and time to be announced. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
