Please share a memory of Lynne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lynne Olds Baker, 77 of Ransomville went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday December 20, 2009 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her children. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Bennett) Reubens. Lynne was raised in Sanborn and attended local schools. She spent most of her life working on the family fruit and dairy farm, Rock Terrace Farm, in Cambria with her husband Gene. She also worked for many years at H.A. Treichler & Sons greenhouses in Sanborn. She was a founding member of the Pekin Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau. Lynne loved life; she loved to work hard, loved her gardens and enjoyed golfing and traveling but most of all she enjoyed her time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed. Lynne is survived by her children, Faye Olds of Newfane, Dawn (Richard) Schimschack of Lewiston, Les (Sue) Olds of Lewiston, Drew (Kathy) Olds of Youngstown and Jennifer (David) DePonceau of Cambria, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters Maureen Magliazzo (North Tonawanda) and June Hirschman (West Palm Beach) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Duane E. Olds, her husbands, Eugene Olds and Howard Baker, her longtime companion Roger Erck, two brothers Keith and Reven Reubens, a sister Mary Sandra Scarfone and two grandsons Frank and Lester Olds. A private memorial service will be held for the family on Wednesday at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Pekin Volunteer Fire Co., 3024 Upper Mt. Rd., Sanborn, NY 14132 or to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
