Obituary of Sandra Parmalee (Baker) Swain

Sandra(Sandy) passed away gracefully with her family by her side on November 3, 2014 at Niagara Hospice in Lockport, New York, after a brief illness.
Sandy was born on April 21, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the only child of the late Clifford Carl and Alice (Werner) Baker. Sandy is survived by her loving husband Cliff Swain of Lewiston, New York. Greatly missed by daughters Lesley Norton (Jill), Shauna Claxton(Colin), and adopted son Thomas Norton (Norma). Adored Grammie/Nan to grandchildren Hilary (Tim), Matthew (Maliha), Gwen (Andrew), Keshia and Jonathan. She will also be missed by Cliff's daughters Ashley Swain DaCosta (Dan) and Larissa Gillanders (Scott) and their families. Sandy will be fondly remembered by her many friends on both sides of the border. Her dog Rosie remained by her side to the end.
To all her loves and locales, Sandra brought her intellect, courage, humour and grace. She will be sadly missed and always remembered.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Tatler, Inc., 6 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, New York on Saturday, November 22,'2014, from 2-4 pm, followed by a celebration in Toronto, Ontario in January 2015.
