Anne C. Hoffman, age 80 of Youngstown, died Thursday October 16, 2014 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a brief illness..
Anne was born November 5, 2014 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Thomas and Arlene (Fellows) Phillips. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and on June 4, 1955 she married Richard J. Hoffman. They moved to Youngstown in 1971. Anne was an Administrative Assistant employed by Niagara-Wheatfield Central Schools for 10 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of the Youngstown Garden Club and enjoyed swimming with different area swim clubs. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; three sons, Gilbert (Denise) Hoffman of Hamburg, NY, Richard Hoffman of Youngstown, and Daniel Hoffman of Lewiston; a brother, Durwood (Jean) Phillips and a sister, Dale Dodge both of Niagara Falls, NY; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Merrilee Hoffman Schwarz and a brother, Duane Phillips.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Friday from 6 - 8 pm. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 11:00 in the Northeast Cambria Union Cemetery, Budd Rd., Town Of Cambria. Memorials may be made to the Youngstown Free Library, 240 Lockport St., Youngstown, NY 14174.
