Obituary of Sharon Carriere

Sharon Carriere, age 67, formerly of Phoenix, AZ, died Tuesday December 15, 2009 in the Fairchild Manor Nursing Home in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Sharon was born January 6, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Lucien and Ivy (Corbet) Carriere and was a 1960 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School. She worked for the Social Security Administration from 1974 to 1995 in Rochester, NY and in Phoenix, AZ. She retired in Phoenix and lived there until returning to Lewiston earlier this year. Sharon was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenix; a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees, and the AARP. She is survived by two sisters, Constance "Connie" (the late William) Kosakowski of Lewiston, Patricia (the late William) Rotella of Greenfield, WI; two nieces, Colleen (Robert) Giordano of Lewiston, and Corinne (Michael) Kroening of the Town of Cambria; and several great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 21, at 11:00 AM in the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston, with the Rev. Robert Bellingham officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 340 E. Coronado St., Phoenix, AZ 85004.
