Obituary of Dale R. Woodring

Dale R. Woodring, age 60 of Lewiston, died Thursday December 10, 2009 at his residence under the loving care of his family, close friends, and Niagara Hospice. Dale was born August 8, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Esther (Adams) Woodring of Lewiston and the late Mahlon C. Woodring. He attended Lewiston Porter High School and was a lifelong resident of Lewiston. Dale owned and operated the Garden Gallery in Lewiston for over 20 years, as well as owning Dale's Moving Service. A talented artist, his time was taken up with his painting as well as sailing, and both water and snow skiing. Dale was a nature enthusiast, an avid outdoorsman, and he enjoyed animals. He is survived by his mother, Esther; a sister, Kay (William) Rosson of Barhamsville, VA; a nephew, Jason (Michelle) Buttery of Youngstown; and his closest friends, Stephanie Sheusi, Pam Watson, Robert & Marie Howard. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Monday from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 15, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
