Obituary of Joan Shepherd

Joan Shepherd, age 76 of Lewiston, died Thursday July 31, 2014 in the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Joan was born January 26, 1938 in Ransomville, the daughter of the late Leland and Iva (Stacey) Warner and lived there her whole life until moving to Lewiston 3 years ago. She was a Housekeeper, employed by Heritage Manor in Ransomville for 15 years. Joan was a communicant of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Ransomville. She enjoyed gaming, being with her family and most of all her grandchildren. Joan is survived by a daughter, Annette (Keith) Sargent of Youngstown; a son, James (Heather) Shepherd of Ransomville; her grandchildren, Kaileigh Voelker, Leah Panton, and Joshua Shepherd; two sisters, Shirley (late Joseph) Alessi of Colorado and Ann (Bruce) LaMonte Campeau of Niagara Falls, NY; a brother, Robert (Diane) Smith of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Geanne Lee and two brothers, Harold and Ray Warner. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 3 - 7 PM. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 6, at 11:00 AM in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria, with the Rev. James Bastian officiating.
