Obituary of Dolores A Waite

Dolores A. Waite, 83, of Lockport, NY, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 14, 1931 to the late Albert and Anne (Gilroy) Mulligan and was a graduate of Wilson High School 1949. In the same year she was married to Alfred J. Waite and moved to Lockport. Alfred passed away in 2008. Dolores worked for the Niagara County Dept. of Social Services as a Social Case Worker and also in the Dept. of Motor Vehicles office for 15 years, retiring in 1992. She was very strong in her faith and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge. Dolores enjoyed sailing and cooking, but mostly spending time with her family. She is survived by her four children, Allen Waite of Sacramento, CA, Patti (late Charles) Kennedy of Clanton, AL; Judy (John) Dickinson and Kim (Tim) Raczkiewicz, both of Lockport. Also ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Raeann Mulligan of Ormond Beach, FL. She was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Wojtkowski; and a brother, Albert Mulligan. Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Sunday from 2-6 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM from St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge 4169 Church Rd., Town of Cambria with Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Entombment in Glenwood Cemetery. Lockport. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge.
