Obituary of Mark J. Senek

Mark J. "Timer" Senek, age 57 of Ransomville, died unexpectedly on Monday June 30, 2014 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston. Mark was born March 22, 1957 in Ransomville, the son of the late John and Clarabell B. (Lederhouse) Senek. He was a 1976 graduate of Wilson High School and has worked on his family's farm his whole life. He took the Senek Farm produce to the Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda markets for many years. Mark has been a member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Co. since 1985. He was named Fireman of the Year and was the recipient of numerous other awards including responding to the most calls (over 300) each of the past three years. Mark was also a member of the Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by three sisters, Brenda (Malcolm) Johannes, Maureen (Henry) Koroschetz, and Patricia (John) Susice all of Ransomville; a brother, Tim (Sheri) Senek also of Ransomville; and his nieces and nephews, Dara (Matthew), Megan, Brett, Austin, Jessica, Rachael, Brandon, Cole, Jordynn, Kaitlin, Matthew, and Andrew. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Senek. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Saturday from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, July 6, at 1:00 PM in the Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church, corner of Youngstown-Wilson and Ransomville Rds., with the Rev. Ann Cole officiating.
