Roberta Blasius

Roberta "Robin" F. Blasius, age 68, formerly of Ransomville, died Tuesday December 8, 2009 in the ElderWood Health Care at Heathwood in Williamsville, after a courageous fight with Multiple Sclerosis. Robin was born October 29, 1941 in Evanston, IL, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Alma C. (Clarke) Fontaine. In 1963 she received her B.A. from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Robin had lived in Youngstown, Lewiston, Grand Island, and Niagara Falls before coming to Ransomville in 1996. She was a member of the American Association of University Women and had volunteered with the American Red Cross. She is survived by a son, Gary (Heather) Blasius and a daughter, Pauline (Dan) Robinson both of Ransomville; a brother, James C. (Pauline) Fontaine of Salt Lake City, Utah and eight grandchildren. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Saturday, December 12, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will begin in the funeral home at 11:00 am, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in the North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria.
