We are so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. He will certainly leave a large hole in the lives of his wife and children. We had the pleasure of meeting him several times. We always thought he was such a intelligent gentleman. Everyone in our family felt very highly of him. We feel so bad for the family. God Bless all of you!

My sincere condolences to the Schmidt family. Bob and I were colleagues across the border with Immigration over the years. After retirement Bob, Jeff Stevens and I would get together about 3 times a year for lunch. I will miss Bobs gentle nature. Sincerely, Ernie Smith retired Canada Immigration
and presently Chairman of the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission

It was my great honor to have worked for Bob. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. I wish Bob "Fair Winds and Following Seas" on his new journey.
