My husband Roger was the most wonderful person I’ve ever known. He had the kindest nature, was extremely intelligent, never let ANYTHING bother him for more than five minutes, and was my best friend. If all men were like my husband, there would be no wars and all that pass by would say hello. The world would truly be a better place to live.

I am so sorry for your loss. Roger was such a nice person. I meet him in Dallas at Oxy. He was such a big help to me when I needed accounting information to complete my monthly reports. I will always remember him and my prayers go out to the family at this time.

Roger was such a great person and a joy to know. Roger was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed. He was fun to be with. He will be sadly missed.

I sang with Roger in the Saratoga, Wyoming Presbyterian church choir. I'll always remember his dedication to the church and him wearing his Dallas Stars hockey jersey to choir practice. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Diane and Family:
I was very sad to hear of Roger's passing. Roger was a really nice guy. It was a shame all he had to endure. Diane, you gave him so much love through your caring for him and in many other ways. The home dialysis is harder than people will ever know, the 3 hours it is supposed to take turns into 6 hours most days, with all that is involved, six days a week. It is a selfless person that takes on this task for their loved one. He knew how much you loved him. You were an extenion of God's hands to Roger. If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to call me. Please be comforted in knowing you will see him again. He will be whole and healthy, and ready and waiting to embrace you in eternity.
Sincerely,
Susan Shepherd

I was saddened and surprised this week to learn of Roger's death. We met and became friends in Wyoming. Life's twists and turns took us both away from that beautiful place. Roger was an unselfish man of great grace, dignity and patience. I will not forget him. His passing is a personal loss to Dianne and to all who knew and cared for him. Good by Roger.

Juel and I will never forget Roger, how kind, warm and reassuring he was to be around. We will always be so grateful that we knew you in Saratoga -- Juel and I might never have met if it weren't for your Spurs of the Moment Horse Club and your invitation to your beautiful house at Cow Creek. Thanks to you and Roger for all the great times horse camping, riding, enjoying get-togethers and parties, lots of great food, and plenty of adventures. Roger was a wonderful friend, and we will miss him so much. Diane, please call us any time. We know you have been going through a terribly rough time, and we can't even imagine you're grief. We hope that when the time is right you will be able to come out to Wyoming for a visit. We would love to see you, and it is a tremendous sadness to us that we will not see Roger again in this world.

I have been trying to contact Roger for the past 3 decades or so. We never knew each other living in WNY, but became good friends while attending SUNY at Cortland. I lived but a stone's thow away in Niagara Falls. I can not tell you how much I was affected when I saw his obituary. Not knowing Roger's family, my heart and prayers go out all of you, for I know the kind and wonderful man Roger must have turned out to be. That is if he were only half the man he was in college. I know the Lord will take good care of him. My sincerest condolences to his family.
