Obituary of Shirley V. Grose

Shirley V. Grose, age 84 of Youngstown, died Friday February 28, 2014 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston. Shirley was born September 27, 1929 in North Tonawanda, and was a 1947 graduate of North Tonawanda High School. She served as Secretary for the Lutheran Church of The Messiah in Lewiston for 15 years retiring in 1997. At the same time, Shirley worked as the Bookkeeper for Carmelo's Restaurant, also in Lewiston. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and enjoyed camping, fishing, her flower and vegetable gardens. She is survived by her husband, Theodore "Ted" E. Grose whom she married in 1988; a son, Scott Ryc of Niagara Falls, NY; a step son, Eric (Tammy) Grose of Ransomville, and two step grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 4, at 11:00 am in The Lutheran Church of The Messiah, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston, NY with the Rev. Thomas Mason officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Church of The Messiah. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N.
