Obituary of Pearl A. Arrington

Pearl A. Arrington, age 95 of Lewiston, passed away at her residence on Monday February 24, 2014 surrounded by people who were committed to her care during a lengthy illness. Pearl was born September 3, 1918 in Lewiston, NY, the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Florence (Johnston) Landers and was a 1936 graduate of the Lewiston Red Brick School. Pearl's name and presence was known by all native Lewistonians. She had owned and renovated what is known as Fairbanks Mansion and was instrumental in preserving Lewiston's history, the Village she loved so much. Her humor and uniqueness will be remembered and missed by those who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband, Marion Arrington, and a sister, Marian E. Armstrong. There will be no services or visitation as Pearl had requested. If you would like to remember her in a special way, memorials may be made to the Historical Association of Lewiston, PO Box 43, 14092 or to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
