Obituary of Catherine Paczkowski

Catherine Paczkowski, age 75 of Lewiston NY, died Tuesday February 11, 2014 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Catherine was born January 31, 1939 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Praydich) Bakarich and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She married Leon Paczkowski on July 14, 1962 and they have resided in Lewiston for the last 60 years. Catherine was employed by Moore Business Forms for 41 years, retiring as a computer administrator supervisor. She was a communicant of St. Peter's RC Church in Lewiston. Catherine volunteered at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, and at St. Jude's Shrine on Ridge Rd. in Lewiston. She loved her pet dogs. She is survived by her husband, Leon; a sister, Julia McCabe of Lewiston; and 14 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen West and Margaret Malec. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Friday February 14, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A funeral services will begin at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private. Memorials may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
