Helen Garvey

Helen Beth Garvey, age 61 of Lockport, died unexpectedly on Friday February 7, 2014 at her residence. Helen was born November 19, 1952 in Ransomville, the daughter of the late Richard and Joyce (Kaber) Johnston and has lived in Lockport the past 16 years. She was a 1970 graduate of Wilson High School and married Gregory E. Garvey on August 18, 1979. Helen enjoyed sewing. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Carey Lynn (William) O'Connor of Wilson and Ronald (Amy) Moberg of Lancaster, NY; her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Madelyn, Breelyn, Andrew, and Allison; and a brother, Dennis Johnston of Florida. Services are private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the South Lockport Volunteer Fire Co., 5666 South Transit Rd., Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
