Obituary of Deborah Lynne Austin

Deborah Lynne Austin, age 59 of Youngstown, died Saturday January 25, 2014 at her residence while under the loving care of her dear friends and Niagara Hospice. Deborah was born February 13, 1954 in Newport, RI, the daughter of the late Warren and Georgianna (Caravalho) Austin and has lived in Youngstown the past 25 years. She was a graduate of Niagara County Community College and had attended the University of Buffalo. Deborah was self employed as a private duty Home Health Aide. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown. Deborah interests and talents were many and varied. She was a gourmet cook, a gardener, painter, a "birder", and an avid football fan. She was a very talented wood carver. She is survived by her dear friend, Joan Gillespie of Youngstown; a sister, Karen (Paul) Bowen of Ocala, FL; cousins, Rob (Marge) Sousa of Massachusetts and Bunny (Chick) Lake of Rhode Island; her dear cat, "Noah" as well as other cousins, aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, at 11:00 am in the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 100 Church St., Youngstown, NY 14174. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston.
