Georgine Pillittere Baldwin, age 44 of Lewiston died Saturday November 21, 2009 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a lengthy illness.
Georgine was born July 3, 1965 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of former Assemblyman Joseph T. and Joan (Bella) Pillittere of Lewiston. She was a 1983 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School where she was Valedictorian of her class and went on to receive her B.A. in Psychology from Buffalo State. On September 27, 1986 she married James M. Baldwin. They had lived in LaSalle for 15 years, and the past 6 years in Lewiston. Georgine was a Girl Scout Leader for Troop # 1171 in Buffalo, taught languages to multi-aged students at Lew Port on a part time basis in 2007, and was active in after school programs in Niagara Falls Middle Schools.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, James; her son, Joseph Baldwin at home; two sisters, Michelle (Richard) George of the town of Tonawanda and Jennifer (Matthew) Korzelius of Wheatfield; two brothers, Joseph (fiancé` Lori) Pillittere of Jamestown, NY and Donald T. (Lori) Pillittere of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 25, at 10:30 AM in St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Sebastian C. Pierro officiating. (Please assemble at Church) Burial will be private in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
