Esther A. Woodring, age 99, a 60 year resident of Lewiston, died Sunday November 10, 2013 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston. Esther was born January 14, 1914 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Christopher and Flossie (Roscoe) Adams. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and on May 10, 1947 she married Mahlon C. Woodring. Mahlon predeceased her on November 5, 1993. Esther worked as the Office Manager for Pierce Marine in Youngstown for 25 years. She enjoyed textile painting, sewing, all crafts, and was an excellent cook. She is survived by a daughter, Kay (William) Rosson of Barhamsville, VA; a grandson, Jason (Michelle) Buttery of Youngstown; and her great grandchildren, Brandon and Justin Buttery. She was predeceased by a son, Dale R. Woodring and a brother, James D. Adams. Funeral Services and Entombment will be held Wednesday, November 13, at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. There will be no prior visitation. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts. Lewiston.
