Marjorie R. Jeffords, age 87, formerly of Ransomville, died Wednesday November 11, 2009 in the Newfane Rehabilitation & Health Care Center after a long illness. Marjorie was born October 3, 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Rebecca (Parks) Jeffords and was a lifelong Ransomville resident. She was a 1942 graduate of Youngstown High School and had worked for 10 years at the Hurlbert Canning Factory in Wilson, retirng in the 1950's. Marjorie enjoyed embroidery, puzzles, visiting friends, and was an avid reader. She had attended the Ransomville United Methodist Church. She is survived by her cousins, Elizabeth Maacks of Ransomville, Bonnie (Charles) Blackwell of Northeast, MD, Gary Lane of Ransomville, and Marilyn Lane of Lockport. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Edna Mae Jeffords. A Memorial Service will be held at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday, November 20, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Les Drayer officiating. There is no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ransomville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 250, Ransomville, NY 14131.
