Obituary of Glenn R. Ostrihon

Glenn R. Ostrihon, age 76 of Ransomville, died Tuesday September 3, 2013 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a brief illness. Glenn was born October 22, 1936 in Pontiac, MI, the only son of the late Helen (Hosner) Ostrihon Rizzon. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet engine mechanic from 1956 to his honorable discharge as an Airman 2C in 1958. Glenn married Kathleen E "Kathy". Wood on October 15, 1960 and they moved to Ransomville in 1980. He worked in the Maintenance Department at GM Harrison Radiator in Lockport for 28 years, retiring in 1999. Glenn loved retirement, traveling, and fun times with his family and friends, especially Lois & Ed. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; a son, Jeffrey (Sissie) Ostrihon of Amherst, NY; a daughter, Kristine (Scott) Kerwin of Newfane; his grandchildren, John, Daniel, Katie, Jamie, and Erin; five great grandchildren; two brothers in law, Gary (Nancy) and John (Dee) Wood; a sister in law, Pat Wood; and a nephew and four nieces. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Saturday, September 7, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 noon in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1595 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
