Jeffrey A. "Smitty" Smith, age 69 of Lewiston and Niagara Falls, died Saturday August 31, 2013 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston.
Smitty was born October 18, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Lawrence and Alona (Austin) Smith and was a 1961 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School. He had served in the National Guard. Smitty, a people Lover, was a well known Bartender at various establishments in the Niagara Falls area and had worked for many years for the Alps Restaurant in Niagara Falls.
He is survived by a sister, Jillyan (Albert) Little of Salem, NY; a niece, Amy M. (Robert) Kozak of Leonardo, NJ and a nephew, Andrew J. (Debra Marcus) Little of Mount Laurel, NJ.
A celebration of Smitty's life will be held at a later date. There will be no prior visitation. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, 5295 Lewiston Rd., Lewiston, NY 14092. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts. Lewiston.
