Dear Karen - We have never met but your mother and I worked together at Hooker Chemical. She talked about you and her granddaughters with much pride. I called your mom a few times when I couldn't get in touch with Dorothy and she would update me. She was a sweet woman whom I have fond memories of when we worked together...many years ago! I'll always remember her telling the story of ordering a cake for a group of past employees and how she requested "The Hooker Girls" written on the cake and the look she received when doing so! My thoughts are with you during this sad time in your lives....losing ones mother (and grandmother) is the hardest thing....may your good memories bring you peace.

Karen, I was sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I remember how close the two of you were. My mother was the same age when she passed earlier this year so I relate to your sorrow. I hope that time will heal your heart.
Your friend from our days at Carborundum.
