Darrell and I went to school together, joined Naval reserve in Youngstown. entered active duty in the Navy, and got a job at High Energy Fuels on Balmer rd., Youngstown. It was there, that I encouraged Darrell to try out for the Niagara Falls Police Dept. Although Darrell did not think he'd make it, because of his weight, I kept telling him to at least try! He said "If I make it, I'll take you out to dinner. He never did and it was an ongoing joke as each time I asked Darrell about it, he would reply "i'll meet you at mcdonalds". I was shocked and deeply saddened when I saw that I had lost a true, GREAT friend. I will miss him as I know everybody that knew Darrell loved him mas a brother. Must stop now and wipe away tears. God be with you. Al Edwards, age 77, ex-classmate, ex-reservist, ex-government employee, ex-police officer, Good by Darrell 'til we meet again. (Save me a place in Heaven)
