Obituary of Ervin W. Seefeldt, Jr.

Ervin W. Seefeldt, Jr., age 63 formerly of Ransomville, died unexpectedly on Monday July 15, 2013 in Gainesville, NY. Erv was born August 19, 1949 in Lockport, the son of the late Ervin, Sr. and Dorothy (Zimmerman) Seefeldt. A Vietnam Veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to his honorable discharge in 1971. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal. Erv worked as a mechanic for Peter Baker Farms in Ransomville, Modern Disposal, and various other farms. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He also raced stock cars at the Ransomville and Perry Speedways for many years. He is survived by his sons, Ronald, Jason, and Bernard Seefeldt; a daughter, Jessica and her husband John; a sister, Barbara Williams of Lockport; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Ervin W. Seefeldt, IV and a brother, Walter Seefeldt. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday, July 19, from 5 - 8 pm. Funeral services will begin 8:00 pm in the funeral home, with Pastor Bobbie Gee officiating. Military Honors will follow the service. Burial will be private in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria
