God rest you, dearest Bob, knowing how loved you are, and how much you will be missed. You have raised a beautiful family, and made a wonderful father, love to Carol, and the coolest of grandpas'. Be with God, and save a place for us. We will be together again.

Mr. Hartz was a great man, and phenomenal teacher. I was never really into Science, but Mr. Hartz made it enjoyable, when you were in his class. He always had a smile and a pleasant demeanor. He will be missed by many.

Mr. Hartz touched the lives of so many of us passing through Wilson Central School. His patience, kindness and interest in others are just a few of the many fine characteristics of the great role model he was.

I'll never forget all our wonderful times together on the golf course, on our summer baseball trips together, at his Super Bowl parties, and with all the teachers at various social gatherings. Bob had a heart of gold and was a good friend.

I started my coaching career at Sweet Home when Bob and I were selected for the JV football team in 1966. Recently it has been a pleasure to renew our friendship in Ft. Myers and through his wonderful son, Bob, Jr. I have nothing but the most fond memories of the brief times we spent together. My condolences to his family.

It was sad and shocking to hear of Bob's death. Bob and I were lifelong friends. We shared a common passion, playing basketball, being teammates in the 1950's in Oil City and then four decades later in the 1990's when we were neighbors in Florida. Besides being talented in several sports and music, Bob was fun to be around. He was a loyal friend, and I will miss him. My sympathies go out to you, Carol, and all his children, whom he cared so much for.
