Obituary of Janet L. Fedak

Janet L. Fedak, age 51 of Ransomville died Wednesday July 3, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, showing incredible strength through it all. Janet was born June 13, 1962 in Ransomville, the daughter of Beverly (Bills) Jeffery of Ransomville and the late Frank T. Jeffery. She was a 1980 graduate of Wilson High School and received her Associate's Degree in Travel and Tourism from Genesee Community College in 1983. Janet worked as a travel supervisor for GM Delphi in Lockport. For the past 17 years Janet has been employed by the Dale Association Senior Center in Lockport. She enjoyed her many experiences and adventures in the travel industry. Janet was a member of the Ransomville United Methodist Church where she had served as Financial Secretary, working with their youth programs, and in many other capacities. She enjoyed jewelry making, needlework, and other crafts as well. Her family and many friends will miss her ready smile and "I'm okay" reply. She is survived by her husband, Michael Fedak whom she married on July 25, 1992; her mother, Beverly (Bills) Jeffery of Ransomville'; a sister, Lori (David) Taylor of Fort Collins, CO; a brother, Peter T. (Laura) Jeffery of Ransomville; her nieces, Mariah Taylor and Katelyn Jeffery; her nephews, Andrew Jeffery and Anthony (Stephanie) Reed; her great nephews, Carson and Silas Reed; and her mother in law, Mary (late Michael) Fedak of Niagara Falls, NY. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 6, at 11:00 AM in the Ransomville United Methodist Church, 2573 Youngstown Lockport Rd., Ransomville, with the Rev. Matthew Worley officiating.
