Obituary of Thelma Grace Wilkinson

Thelma Grace Wilkinson, age 90 , formerly of the Village of Youngstown, died Saturday June 8, 2013) in the Niagara Rehabilitation and Health Center in Niagara Falls, after a long illness. Mrs. Wilkinson was born April 15, 1923 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of the late John Angus and Irene (Cross) Walker. On March 10, 1945 she married Alvin W. Wilkinson and she became a U.S. Citizen in 1965. They had moved to Youngstown in 1997 and Alvin predeceased her in 2001. Thelma Grace enjoyed interior designs and renovating old homes. She also enjoyed sailing, reading and chocolates. Thelma was also a member of the Study Club of Youngstown. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Reneau of Lewiston, Donna Horn of Niagara Falls, NY, and Wanda (Michael) Moccio of Stamford, CT; and her granddaughters, Karissa Ann, Erica Grace, and Samantha Alayne. She was predeceased by a sister, Audrey Simmons. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy., Amherst, NY 14228 or to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13270-3049. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston.
