Olga E. Wermuth, in her 100th year, of Youngstown died Saturday April 13, 2013 in Elderwood Health Care at Riverwood on Grand Island, NY. Olga was born April 25, 1912 in Sanborn, NY, the daughter of the late John and Augusta (Stoelting) Strasburg and graduated from Holy Ghost Lutheran Church School. She married Frederick A. Wermuth on June 21, 1941. Frederick predeceased her on April 3, 1971. Olga was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Youngstown for many years. A homemaker, she was a devoted mother and Christian. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and quilting. She is survived by her children, Carol Wermuth of Chillicothe, OH, Dorothy (William) Hagan of Vancouver, Washington, Sharon (Ray) Ingram of Geneseo, NY, and Neil (Mara) Wermuth of Glouster, MA; 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Burnett Strasburg; and four sisters, Hilda Hermanson, Elena Read, Alma Herbst, and Ida Schworm. , Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday April 24, from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held on her 101st birthday, April 25, at 1:00 PM in St. John Lutheran Church, 420 Lockport St., Youngstown, with the Rev. Richard Blemaster officiating. Friends may call at the Church after 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 420 Lockport St., Youngstown, NY 14174.
