Obituary of Gerardo J. Liermo, III

Gerardo "Jerry" Liermo III, 69, of the Town of Cambria, NY, died at his residence on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on October 15, 1943 to Dolores (Mansu) Liermo of Modesto, CA and the late Gerardo Liermo II. Jerry was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School in 1961, and then started working at Harrison-Radiator in Lockport. In 1965, he enlisted in the US Army and served until 1967, receiving the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Jerry returned working at G-M Harrison/Delphi and retired in 2001 after 38 years. He was a avid New York Yankees Fan, enjoyed bowling, softball, and for many years was a coach for the Cambria Little league. What Jerry enjoyed most was being with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by four children, April (David) Smith of the Town of Cambria, Gerardo (Karen) Liermo IV of Lockport, Joseph Liermo of Denver, CO and James (Rachel) Liermo of Burt, NY; nine grandchildren, Nicole, T.J., Ryan, Kess, Jace, Cash, Cruz, Olivia, and J.J.; three sisters, Isabel Greenlief of Town of Cambria, Trina (Larry) Stanley of Lodi, CA, Dolores (William) Roth of Modesto, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, on Friday (March 22nd) from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM where the Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 PM with Rev. Charles Lamb officiating, with Military Honors.
