Eva Salacinski

Eva R. Salacinski, 88, of Lewiston, NY, died March 10, 2013, at the Newfane Rehab and Health Care Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in Quebec, Canada on January 28, 1925 to the late Napolian and Julia (Holmes) Huard. In 1948 she was married to Boleslaw "Barney" Salacinski, a WWII veteran, and have resided in Lewiston since 1962. Eva was employed at Fairchild Manor in Lewiston for over 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, gaming and playing bingo, and was a Communicant of St. Peter's RC Church, Lewiston. In addition to her husband Barney, she is survived by a son, Michael (Janet) Salacinski of Lake Worth, FL; a granddaughter, Amanda and several nieces and nephews. Eva was predeceased by a son, Mark Salacinski; a brother, Robert Huard, Sr; and a sister, Irene Fryza. A prayer service will be held at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston, on Wednesday (March 13) at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Michael Zuffoletto officiating. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. No prior visitation.
