Obituary of Dorothy Repetski

Dorothy Repetski, 81, formerly of Townline Rd. Sanborn, NY, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Erie, PA on October 24, 1931, to the late Oswald and Angela (Mayer) Haensly and was a graduate from Lawrence Park
High School, Erie, PA. She was employed at the University of Buffalo, Registrars Office in the 1950's, where she met Jerry J. Repetski and on August 19, 1961 they were married and moved to Sanborn, NY, where they raised their family.
Dorothy was very active in the community, serving on the Board of Director's for Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara, Inc., Niagara Falls; and also serving on the Board of Education in the Niagara-Wheatfield School District for over 20 years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing the organ.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dr. Jerry J. Repetski, Ph.D. Retired Colonel, USMC; children, Col. Michael (Melissa) Repetski of Tampa, FL, Edward (Valerie) Repetski of Killeen, TX, Ann Marie Repetski of Niagara Falls, Jeanne (James) Ashby of Sanborn; six grandchildren, Mary Kate, Megan, Molly, Andrew, Lorelei and Daniel; a sister, Mary Jane (Jack) Rebhan of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Robert, William, Richard, James and John Haensly; and a sister, Irene Beecher.
Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, on Sunday from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (March 11, 2013) at 10:00 AM from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 4671 Townline Rd. (Rt. 429) Ransomville with Rev. Joseph Badding officiating. Please assemble at church. Burial to follow at North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara, Inc., LPO Box 360, Niagara Falls, NY 14304-0360
