Obituary of Joyce R. Gall

Joyce (Raybon) (Band) Gall, age 81 of Ransomville went to be with the Lord on Sunday February 24, 2013 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a brief illness. Joyce was born August 4, 1931 in Greenville, AL, the daughter of the late Jack and Clera Mae (Davis) Raybon and moved here from Alabama as a teenager. She retired from Frontier Lanes in Lewiston where she worked as a Waitress for many years. Previous to that she was employed at Radio Lunch in Niagara Falls. A deeply devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Joyce had many close friends and neighbors. She loved her home, cooking, boating, crocheting, Alleghany State Park, and life itself as she always found the good in everyone. She will be terribly missed by all. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Gall and her first husband, Robert "Bob" Band, Sr. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Fallesen (fiancé` Dave Gombert) and a son. Robert Band, Jr. both of Youngstown; five sisters, Jollie (Richard) Caprio, Clare Abdullah, Patsy (Ben) Raymond, Kitty (Todd) Orszulak, Sr., and Vicki (Wayne) Thompson; a brother, Carl (Jan) Raybon; her brothers in law, Chet Cummings and Willy Emmons; and a sister in law, Diana Raybon; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews. great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Carol Band and Denise Canfield; four sisters, Jackie Cummings, Lorene Heil, Bonnie Conte, and Gwyn Emmons; and a brother, Leo Raybon. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Thursday from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 1, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co.
