Obituary of Julia A. Truesdale

Julia A. Truesdale, age 70 of Youngstown, died Wednesday January 30, 2013 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Julia was born December 11, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Anthony and Marjorie (Martin) Stopa. She attended Wilson High School and has lived in Youngstown since 1958. On October 12, 1963 she married Marvin E. Truesdale. Marvin predeceased her on April 13, 1980. Julia worked for a number of years at the McDonald's in Lewiston, and for the Lewiston Porter School District. Julia's family was most important to her. She helped to raise her nieces and nephew in their early years. Julia loved nature, the outdoors, bird watching, all animals, and her pet dogs. She especially loved to cook for her family. She is survived by her children, Tammy and Kurt Truesdale both of Youngstown; her grandchildren, Andrea Marullo and Alissa Truesdale; a brother, James (Jeannie) Stopa of Avon Park, FL; a sister, Sandy (Rory) Kuhn of Youngstown; her nieces, Kelly Kuhn and Krissy LaBelle; a nephew, Kyle Kuhn; her great niece, Peyton and a daughter in law, Jen Wynkoop. She was predeceased by a son, Mark D. Truesdale and an infant son, David. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.
