Josephine Brochey, age 84 of Lewiston NY, died Tuesday December 25, 2012 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Josephine was born March 13, 1928 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Franciska (Boduch) Wawrzynski and has lived in Lewiston the last 40 years. On September 21, 1952 she married Robert C. Brochey. Robert predeceased her on August 14, 1986. Josephine owned and operated the Lewiston Village Sunoco for 20 years, retiring in 1988. She is survived by her children, Derrick B. Brochey (Deborah) of Youngstown, Anita Giardino of Chicago, IL, Dianne (Peter) Edgar of Port Orange, FL, and Dennis (Cathy) Brochey of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Dawn, Danielle, Jesica, Jody, and Jennifer as well as several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Doretta "Dori" Thomas; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior visitation. Memorials may be made to Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston.
