Keith E. Doebler, age 64 of the Town of Cambria, died Sunday October 25, 2009 in Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness.
Keith was born May 15, 1945 in Lockport, NY, the son of the late Wilbert "Duke" Doebler and the late Agnes (McArthur) Doebler Drewes. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1964 graduate of Wilson High School. Keith married Carole (Leonhard) Doebler on July 23, 1977. He retired in May of 2007 as the New Car Manager of Kyser Buick in Tonawanda, where he was employed for 35 years. Keith was a member of North Ridge United Methodist Church and a member of the Charlotteville Lodge #73 F&AM in Lockport. He was an avid bowler, golfer, hunter, and fisherman, as well as enjoying NASCAR, local auto racing, and camping. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Carole; a son, Brett (Lindsey) Doebler of Gasport, NY; a daughter, Mary Jo Murray of Goose Creek, SC; his grandchildren, Justin Jeffords, Natalie Shaw, Tiffany Cox, Jordan Brock, and Jacob Howland; his great grandchildren, Isaac and Isabella Shaw; a sister, Diane (Donald) Peck of the Town of Cambria; a step brother, Arnold Drewes, Jr. of the Town of Cambria; and two step sisters, Linda (Gary) Treichler of Sanborn and Pamela (David) Erway of Wilson.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 7 - 9 PM and Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 30, at 11:00 AM in the North Ridge United Methodist Church, 3930 North Ridge Rd., Town of Cambria, with the Rev. Daryl J. Bennett and the Rev. Thomas Kraft officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd. Town of Cambria.
