Aunt Joann, I was extremely saddened to hear the news of Uncle Jack's passing. I only wish I could be there to express my feelings personally and help support you's. Please accept my condolences. You's were there when I needed family with both my grandmother and grandfather and even though I am over 1000 miles away, I am still here for you's only a phone call away. Uncle jack was a favorite of mine, as were/are many of the Shumate's. I remember as a child, doing my favorite thing (going to air shows) Uncle Jack bringing me in from the other side and giving me the "behind the scenes tour" as well as teaching me the "secrets" of how things ran. I know there's nothing I can say to change anything, but I wanted you to know I am thinking about You, Uncle Jack, and the rest of the family, and if there is anything you need. Do not hesitate to call.
