Isabelle Ruth Martin, age 76 of North Tonawanda and Niagara Falls, died Friday November 23, 2012 in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness. Ruth was born May 31, 1936 in Ransomville, the daughter of the late John H. and Dolly May (Langdon) Martin. She was employed as a Custodian by the YMCA in Niagara Falls, in the 1980's. Previous to that she had worked on the assembly line at the Ford Gum Company and at Harrison Radiator in Lockport. Affectionately known as a real "firecracker", Ruth enjoyed Bingo, summer picnics, and family gatherings. She attended Guild Care on Military Rd. and the John Duke Senior Center on Hyde Park Blvd. in Niagara Falls. She is survived by her children, Debbie Mazzo of Rochester, NY, Rosemarie (Robert J,) Shaughnessy, Jr. and Timothy (Tammy) Martin, Sr. both of Niagara Falls, Barbara (Fred) Craft of Lockport and Stephen E. Crogan of North Tonawanda; her grandchildren, Hopemarie Turton, Robert Shaughnessy, III Andrea Meyer, Robert Lucas, II, Felicia Craft, Tiffanni Meier, Timothy Martin, Jr., Taralyn Martin, and Carlisha Mazzo; her great grandchildren, Robert, III and Emma Shaughnessy; a brother, Ronald Martin; a sister, Doris Cadle; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Johnny Crogan and Sherrie Mazzo; three brothers, Richard, Arthur, and Edward R. Martin; seven sisters, Emma, Violet, Mary, Ida and MIldred Martin, Marge Stopa, and June Lansberry; and a great grandchild, Haven Turton. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 27, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert G. Henry officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria.
