Obituary of Gary W. Schultz

Gary W. Schultz, age 71 formerly of Porter Center Rd. in Lewiston, died Saturday September 1, 2012 in the Treasure Coast Hospice in Ft. Pierce, FL, after a lengthy illness.. Gary was born April 10. 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Wallace F. and Edna G. (Zahno) Schultz and was a 1959 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School. He married Gladys Jeanette (Hlavenka) Schultz on June 1, 1963 and they lived in the Town of Porter until moving to Port St. Lucie, FL 11 years ago. Gary was a Sales Service Manager, employed by Stone Container Co. in Wheatfield, for 45 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Peter's RC Church in Lewiston and of St. Bernadette RC Church in Port St. Lucie. Gary was also a former member and an Exempt Member of the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. # 1. He enjoyed farming. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Jeanette Schultz of Port St. Lucie, FL; his children, Lora (Joe) Kolmer of Kenmore, WA and Michael Schultz of Niagara Falls, NY; his grandchildren, Nathan and Evan Schultz, Shea and Naomi Kolmer; a brother, Marvin Schultz of Ransomville; his mother in law, Germaine Hlavenka of Niagara Falls, NY; a brother in law, Joseph Hlavenka of Los Angeles, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn Marie Schultz and a brother, Gordon Schultz. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 7, at 10:00 am in St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Michael Zuffoletto officiating. (Please assemble at Church). Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5090 Dunn Rd., Ft.
