Milan L. Carr, age 77 of Ransomville died Tuesday July 3, 2012 in the Niagara Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Niagara Falls, NY. Milan was born July 12, 1934 in Coudersport, PA, the son of the late John and Ruth (Mamon) Carr and has lived in Ransomville the past 32 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1953 to his honorable discharge as a Sergeant in 1956. In 1957 he married Lynn M. (Horn) Carr. Milan was a Millwright, employed by General Motors Engine Plant, in Tonawanda, for 21 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Niagara County Motorcycle Club. He is survived by is wife, Lynn; his children, Denise L. Carr of Laurenceville, PA, Patricia A. (Ralph) Tagg of Wilson, and Milan L. (Cheryl) Carr, Jr. of Ransomville; his step mother, Dorothy Carr of North Tonwanada; his grandchildren, Angela (Rob) Castle, Julie Tagg, Thomas Carr, and Matthew Milan Carr; and a brother, Jon (Marcia) Carr of Kenmore, NY. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Wadsworth and two brothers, Robert and Lon Carr. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
