Margaret E. White, age 79 formerly of South Lake St. in Youngstown, died Monday June 11, 2012 in the Newfane Rehabilitation & Health Care Center after a lengthy illness. Margaret was born in August 21, 1932 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Willard R. and Margaret L. (Bishop) Peak Calviello and was a lifelong resident. She worked as a Nurses Aide in the Nun's Infirmary at Stella Niagara. She then was a Direct Care Worker and Senior Program Manager for Rivershore, Inc. from 1980 to 1998. Margaret received the Compeer Niagara Volunteer of the year award from the Mental Health Assoc. in Niagara County where she had volunteered for over 5 years. She loved animals and walking the Village of Youngstown. She is survived by her children, Michael A. (Debbie) White, Dennis B. (Kathleen) White, John J. White all of Youngstown, and Laurie A. (Cory) White-Dye of Florida; a sister, Rose M. (Paul) Prokopich and a brother, Jerry Peak both of Niagara Falls, NY; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard Evans and Willard Peak. A Memorial Service will be held at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville on Wednesday, June 13, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Moran officiating. There will be no prior visitation. Burial will follow in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Lake Rd., Youngstown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rivershore Inc., 763 Cayuga Dr., Lewiston, NY 14092.
